The myth
  • Trojan war, 10 years long

  • The rest of the Greek army burned their tents and sailed to a nearby island
  • the Trojan priest Laocoon guesses the plot and warns the Trojans
  • Cassandra, the soothsayer of Troy, insists that the horse would be the downfall of the city and its royal family
  • The people of troy, thinking they had won the war , brought the horse into the city despite the warnings
  • After the celebration, the Greeks climbed down out of the horse, killed the guards, and let the rest of the army into troy
